Area Chair for GroundLM 2026, the workshop on grounding and retrieval-augmented language models at EMNLP 2026 (Budapest, Hungary), overseeing five submissions and writing meta-review recommendations.

Serving as an Area Chair for GroundLM 2026, a workshop at the 2026 Conference on Empirical Methods in Natural Language Processing (EMNLP 2026) in Budapest, Hungary, after first serving as a reviewer for the workshop. GroundLM focuses on grounding language models: retrieval-augmented generation, knowledge grounding, factuality, and hallucination, drawing the natural-language-processing, information retrieval, and machine learning communities together. EMNLP, the parent conference, is rated A*, the top tier, by the CORE conference ranking.

As an Area Chair I oversee five submissions: for each paper I weigh the official reviews and the authors' responses and write a meta-review recommendation that feeds the organizing committee's final decisions. The papers span retrieval-augmented generation, faithfulness and grounding under model compression and quantization, retrieval interpretability, and robustness to misleading conversational context.
